The Centre of Public Mental Health (CPMH), an independent inter-disciplinary academic research and teaching centre for public mental health promotion and service development in Africa.
Its strategies are informed by its predecessor, MHaPP.
It is a joint initiative of the Department of Psychiatry and Mental Health at the University of Cape Town and the Department of Psychology at Stellenbosch University.
Through the CPMH, the PMHP continues to work with the previous director of MHaPP, Prof Crick Lund, academic institutions across Africa, as well as international partners at the London School of Economics, the Institute of Psychiatry at University College London, Sangath Centre, India, the World Health Organisation (WHO) and others.
