Despite many more women being seen by a counsellor, the number of women who were referred to a psychiatrist has only increased slightly. This may be attributed to better screening processes and the Mental Health Officer's increased ability to explore solutions-focused therapy modalities during initial sessions.
The graph below provides summary data of psychiatric services over the PMHP's 8 years of operation.
